Fungi (Mold) Remediation

Fungus can be broken down into many groups. A couple of common ones are as follows:

A few common types of fungus are macro fungi which are of the larger size like mushrooms, toadstools, bracts and puff balls. It's part of the Eco System. Fungi (macro or micro) was created to decompose organic material like dead trees in the forests, or leaves on the ground and various organic materials in general.

Another type are the microscopic fungi like molds, mildews and rust. And unless viewed under a microscope, they must be clumped together into advanced colonies of mycelia for us to see them. Health and scientific studies have found that chemicals known as mycotoxins are emitted from the hyphae and spores of some molds, causing harmful health effects.

Aqua Restoration can properly remove toxic molds and their spores from your structure and in your living and working environments properly and the first time. The public is becoming more aware of the serious human health threat mold has. Molds can grow rapidly following a water loss, and one of our goals at Aqua Restoration is to remove or clean contaminated building materials in the home and working environments as well as personal belongings that have been damaged, providing the structural integrity is not compromised of the item in question.

Along with an Environmental Consultant or a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Aqua Restoration can develop a remediation plan detailing the protocol, scope, time and cost of remediation. Personal belongings that can be cleaned and restored are itemized along with the method of cleaning and removed in a manner that does not cross-contaminate clean areas. Upon completion of the remediation project, clearance samples should be taken to ensure cleanliness.
