Unsanitary Loss
BEFORE
AFTER

No water damage situation is
sanitary. However, more contamination is possible with water
from an unsanitary source.
Health and safety issues are critical and instant response is vital.
Sewage restoration procedures after unsanitary situations must begin as quickly as
possible. Microorganisms such as bacteria in sewage pose a very serious
threat to human health.
You should also assume that airborne pathogens
(mVOCs) are present after
a sewer back-up. With that in mind, occupants should be evacuated immediately until decontamination
procedures have been completed. Immediate specialized restoration procedures must be the
first plan of action.
