Aw (water activity) 0.90. A common soil
fungus. It is found on a wide range of plants. It is
often found in humidifiers. Several species in this
genus can produce potent trichothecene toxins (5, 27).
The trichothecene (scirpene) toxin targets the following
systems: circulatory, alimentary, skin, and nervous.
Produces vomitoxin on grains during unusually damp growing
conditions. Symptoms may occur either through ingestion
of contaminated grains or possibly inhalation of spores.
The genera can produce hemorrhagic syndrome in humans
(alimentary toxic aleukia). This is characterized by
nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dermatitis, and extensive
internal bleeding. Reported to be allergenic. Frequently
involved in eye, skin and nail infections.
Fusaruim growth can only be possible if
undertaken in the ideal climatic conditions. Such condition
would make Fusarium Sp grow well with great success.
The plant is found on a variety of substrates. So basically,
it requires extreme wet conditions meaning that it can
do well in areas which receive plenty of water on yearly
basis. So the rainy areas are the best source for this
kind of plants. So people residing in such areas should
take measures so as to avoid the dangers associated
with it. Fusarium Sp come in various species which would
do well in certain regions. As earlier mentioned, not
all species can do well in extreme water conditions.
Some of the species require a controlled amount of water
while others can flourish in average water conditions.
So you can determine the specific Fusarium Sp species
in your area by analyzing the amount of rain water the
region receives. However this cannot be a true decision
maker.

Fusarium sp has got a few characteristic
which are quite unique. Basically it grows well on fungal
media which is quite common in most farms across the
country. Fungal plants have become quite popular meaning
that, the Fusarium Sp can be located in most parts of
the country. However in some areas, you would not find
a single fungal media hence the species cannot be supported.
All in all, consider this option when you are looking
for any Fusarium Sp species. For sporulation to occur,
most of the Fusarium Sp species require the specialized
media. The species are found in soil, parasitic plants
and saprophytic. Most of the Fusarium Sp species are
ideal plants pathogens, as the experts would say.
Fusarium Sp is harmful when in contact
with the humans. It can cause hemorrhagic which is normally
characterized by nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, dermatitis,
internal bleeding among other things. So its advisable
that the person question, seeks medical attention when
they get too close to any of the species. In most cases,
internal bleeding could go unnoticed until later on
when its too late. Fusarium Sp Mainly affects
the eyes, nails and skin. These areas are basically
the sensitive parts of the body which could be destroyed
if proper care is not undertaken after such an event.
Some species are also considered to be
harmful than others. For example, one category of such
could produce potent trichothecence tixins which targets
the alimentary canal, skin and the nervous systems.
So basically, Fusarium Sp plant is not
ideal for humans since it causes harmful effect as described
above. For people residing in such climatic conditions,
care must be taken when you are doing your daily tasks
in your farms. You can also get in touch with an expert
so that he can inspect your farm and determine whether
such species are available in your area or not. Alternatively,
avoid getting in contact with the species or any other
plant which seems unfamiliar. Some species have extreme
undesirable effects as opposed to others.
