Eurotium Rubrum
The Eurotium rubrum is very tiny and travels through the air. These molds will produce using tiny spores. When they attach on a wet surface they start digesting and reproducing for survival. They are able to grow on damp wood, paper, foods and carpet. Sometimes Eurotium rubrum will be found in area that have a moisture problem like on leaking sinks, concrete floors that are leaking and carpets that are exposed to high amounts of moisture.

The Eurotium rubrum mold will be found in outdoor and indoor areas. They usually discolor the surface that they are found on. They are not able to produce their own food and hence they feed on natural substances. Like any living organism they need some requirements to be able to survive. Among the basic requirements of Eurotium rubrum is a supply of oxygen and food. In addition they will also require a moisture and temperature levels of 40-100 degrees. If you want to eliminate Eurotium rubrum from your home or building you need to control the levels of moisture.

The first thing that you need to do when you notice that you have a mold problem is to get a home inspection unit to your home. They will normally measure the amount of moisture in the floors, ceilings, and walls. A material that has high moisture will likely attract mold growth. Sometimes they will perform a comparison of the air and mold sample to determine if there is any amount of hidden mould. A mold inspection in your house or building will also be determined by the budget that you are working with. When you are buying a house make sure to inspect for any Eurotium rubrum and other kinds of molds infestation. Some home inspectors will report the visibility of mold but sometimes it will require some specialized equipment to determine the level of the problem. They normally use an air sampling technique that alerts them if there is mold in the house.

To eliminate molds you have to prevent the eventuality of condensation on wet areas. This includes the exterior walls, floors, windows and roofs by adding some form of insulation. In addition, you should clean the areas that have mould with a detergent and water and dry it completely. Replace absorbent materials like tiles and ceilings. Repair leaks from taps and sinks
