Aspergillus sparsis

A - B - C - D - E - Next

Aspergillus sparsis is another type of aspergillus mold that does not thrive well indoors. It has been isolated from soils, and is found to be allergenic. However, to this day there are no documented cases of toxic or invasive illnesses associated with this mold.

Aspergillus sparsis

While Aspergillus sparsis is not considered hazardous, the lack of evidence concerning how it can affect human and animal health should be a reminder that there is a possibility that exposure to this mold can induce allergic reactions, especially to those individuals who have a compromised immune system such as infants and small children whose immune systems are not yet fully developed, elderly people who have worn out immune systems, and individuals suffering from respiratory infections.
