When it comes to features, Apophysomyces elegans
are seen as fluffy and more so they look and feel like
cotton. While testing, they were injected with woolly
mycelium in about 2 to 3 days; the after effect as such
was that the surface region of the colony which is white
usually happened to turn to shades of yellow, brown
and gray. This is the state when the culture is looked

suggest that about 5 cases of an infection of this kind
have been reported and there could be more as such.
It can strike hard on healthy people as well. The 5
cases that were brought to notice by a study had to
be treated with only surgery. The areas that this infection
can occur in healthy human beings are the nose and para-nasal
sinus region. Sinus infections
The diagnosis of this infection has no
such signs, but if severe headache and irritation in
terms of sinusitis could stand as a symptom. The only
thing that can curb this would be a successful treatment
plan that ensures to wipe out Apophysomyces elegans.
